[Music] after ten years of advanced iam we are moving to advanced e-academy and we organized this first one in partnership with the European Association of animal production and I'm really happy to invite Giovanni Savini president of EAP the study Commission on nutrition to give you a few words on the European Association of animal production so Giovanni up about it should work yes thank you good morning to everybody it's a pleasure for me to introduce you the European and Federation of animal science also on behalf of the president Matias goodbye and the secretary-general andrea Rosati the European Federation animal science is the animal scientist the network of Europe and military an amazing we have 34 countries member of the Federation so not only Europe about also some countries that are located in the military on bases more than 2500 individual members and epi follows scientific publication three journals one of then probably most of you know this is anymore and then we have any more volunteers and advances in any more Biosciences the EAP organizes each year a meeting of a european animal scientist that is the largest in europe and the second largest in the world and this year will be held in italian from the 28th of august to the 1st september we provide a scholarship program too many young scientists that are going to present their research on average 70 scientific sessions are jointly organized and the plenary session dealing with major themes and with invited talk speaker is organized around 1,000 scientific reports and around 16 under the participants on average 4 meeting them if you want to become an individual member of the European Federation animal science you have some services such as a discounted registration at any ap event discount for animal band or membership with other international organization and many others that you can find on the website of the Federation how the Federation works through several static Commission's we have eleven static Commission's on the major issues of animal science with the some new commission that has been organized the justa last year such as the commission on insect and just a few words or the nutrition commission the nutrition Commission's the notation Commission calls for trans difference transdisciplinary and multilateral collaborations and advocated to give any more nutrition a firm position on the European agenda for research and innovation the main goal of the Commission is to be a platform to facilitate the creation of a network of European scientists but not exclusively in the field of animal nutrition trying to make strong links between private and public research body and I think that this meeting is a good example of what we are trying to do and which is the key idea of the Commission is that nutrition has to be considered at an integral level indeed a nutritional interventions can affect at the same time looted efficiency nutritional value food animal earth and reduce the footprint of animal production the members of the Commission are the president and myself and replaced there for the next three years a vice president it is a legacy plaque from Greece an industry representative is a man well a pair for FAFSA and two secretaries sandy compañía from bedroom Rosalinda Gosling from what we do the commissioner organizes during the annual meeting of the federation the planet session and the Commission meeting it's an important moment of the Congress because during the Commission meeting the scientist and estate industry representatives can address ideas proposal for the next meeting for organizing workshops meetings along the year for instance in Italian this year we are going to organize an industry session one day over session together with the final it is the European Association of specialty feed the ingredients in there are mixtures on innovation in a manual animal nutrition so speciality feed ingredients the Commissioner organizes also a working group it is dedicated to energy and protein metabolism and nutrition the EAP Co initiated a series of international symposium this topic and already fiber symposia have been organized and the sixth it is scheduled for 2019 thank you for your attention and good work for the rest of the meeting - it's a first advance e-academy and I I was I thought when I look at the idea around this Academy I'd say maybe as nutritionists we are really have a very difficult job a very challenging job and I put as a baseline feeding an ecosystem to transform feed stuff into animal proteins and the objective of this one day an Alf is really to enlarge the scope of the nutritionist and to show how complexities are you know ready in your day-to-day life but I think it's even more important today to be interested not only by the animal per se but also by what is within the animals your Co system and we will go from I would say what we can save nutrition to more nutrition ecology and to see okay we need to address the global figures and this afternoon before we will go outside have asked also someone to really enlarge a little bit further and maybe you have been challenged by the word Allah beyond and I'm sure join later on today will explain you what does that mean Allah beyond what does that mean symbiosis between us and our microbiota and more when we started advance here more than 10 years ago I would say it's exactly 10 years ago 2007 we did alpha decision mainly focusing on sulfur amino acids and so on and we decided to enlarge this year and to have really the opportunity to address more largely what we are facing as nutrition and that's why in part Analia with european association of animal production we decided to enlarge the scope and to have this first advanced Academy as a new start and when we talk about advance iya years ago we say it's a network of people scientists around the world we are exchanging we are working with and I could not put all the photographs over everyone and so on but just to say it's spread over all the world over all the continents and I would like also to show you that in collaboration with EAP we have the facility now to address all the questions so I want just to stress a little bit you can download the application advance you advance your own Google Play or Apple Store on your phone on your smartphone any type of smartphone so you don't load the application just advanced here you will see if you type advanced yeah maybe you have different site and so on but just advanced you by itself you click on it you don't load the application free application and we will end up with this type of screen on this screen you will get the program you will get the speaker's you will get different details and you can own the program for instance you will see the program you can have Sunday and Monday you different recessions and you've got a different topic so you can click on the topics and address directly the question to the speaker or I suggest you go to the voting part here on the voting you type you type tap here to vote and then you will access to two questions or voting we don't have a vote so we are not going to say how you appear with a presentation and so on so we don't make make that but we ask you do you go to the voting and then you have polls forget it and questions and then you can type your questions at any time of the session any time of the debate and discussions the questions will arrive here and they will address a question to the chairman to further animate the debate okay now the objective of this first advanced Academy is really to increase or announce the exchanges the really say exchange between the people between scientists and user of your progress and the basis of these three sessions will be first maybe you can raise already your concern your issues what is waking up you at night and so on and then we will try with the three keynote speeches to address the scientific basis on that and after you have time to really debate on how you can translate or what we should further investigate to help you to solve the issues and so at the end the duties of the Chairman is not only to animate the debate but also to wrap up what we can we can get get from these debates and what we need as further investigation and what could be a take-home message and very rapidly you have the program on the application so don't let is it take to download and to follow the program we are organized into three sessions the first session is how to transform feedstuff in digestibility reans the second session will be the final objective which is producing desert bird meat and the sir sessions would be feeding the birds all the bugs and -
